The Chrons tribute

Rod Beck will always be a Giant. The first closer I ever knew of. The standard to which all closers are held in my eye. Yah a pitcher may have stuff, but do they take the mound like Shooter. Do they perch on the rubber and peer down your nose like an irritated Neanderthal. Do they own the field when they walk on it. Rod did.
Goodbye Shooter. We miss you.
This story just does it. Seriously Lets drive around Blue and White boats on McCovey Cove during Giants Baseball games. It will be great. Everyone will know that it’s all about the Giants. And if Barry Bonds hit’s one out during a SF v LA game everyone will know the blue boats are there for the Giants Fan. And when they rip the ball out of the hand of some hypothermic raft rider, that guy will be happy cause his home run ball is going to be auctioned off for charity. Never mind the fact that he might be sitting in the water instead of a box seat because like many of us, the @#$ ticket prices are through the roof.
I’m pissed. this is an embarrassment and when the All Star Game comes to town the whole world is going to see just how off the marketing department can be. I mean for crying out loud, Cingular x’s were blue in LA, but we cant get a freaking orange sponsor anywhere in the park? I can’t take it anymore. It’s Mays Field, and that is my final answer.
It’s going to be a fun season to be a Giants fan.
